When starting a Simulink simulation using the video input Simulink block, MATLAB and Simulink sometimes become unresponsive, requiring them to be closed via the Windows Task Manager.

This is caused by the video input acquisition device not sending any data to Simulink during the simulation.
This is a limitation with the Simulink video input block from the Image Acquisition Toolbox.
Currently, to work around this issue, verify that your video input acquisition device is working properly by testing it with a third-party application like Microsoft's AMCAP.
